As in previous years, India continues to face severe flooding during the monsoon season. Among the affected states, Assam is one of the most flood-prone and consistently experiences widespread devastation. This year, Assam once again witnessed catastrophic flooding, affecting more than 1.5 million people. The situation was exacerbated by continuous heavy rainfall, causing all major rivers to rise above the danger level and severely impacting human lives, livestock, crops, and infrastructure.
